This page aims to demonstrate the use of Lego components as well as third-party components in order to make a fully-functional cheap extruder
Requirements
- A mini Hot glue gun (purchase it for about 9 EUR)
- Some wire zip ties (extremely cheap)
- The following Lego Parts (Contained in the 9695 Set)
DISCLAIMER This guide demonstrates the mechanical construction ONLY (not electronics etc)
Building Instructions
- Download instructions from here
- Build the base
- Attach a servo motor to the SMALL gear (NOT the large one) in order to get high torque
- Get some wire zip ties and pass them through the holes of the beam frame (located at the bottom)
- Remove the screws located on the hot melt glue gun and open it in two halves
- Remove the trigger and re-close the hot melt glue gun
- Place the hot melt glue gun below the beam frame with the nozzle pointing down
- Tie them tightly around the hot melt glue gun; between it and the beam frame
- Enjoy!
